Guide & Reference book. It is the 5 Minute Repeater of the Timing &
Repeating Watch Company. The reference book currently shows a model with a lower grade
15 jewel movement that has an average wholesale dealer to dealer
price of $3250,,, and an average appraised retail price of around
$6000-$8000. Using this unbiased 3rd party information, our Repeater
shown here with the Higher Grade 19 Jewel movement should be worth
substantially
more!!

This Beautiful and
extremely rare timepiece was hand manufactured in Locle Switzerland
around the 1880's
Full American 18 Size, or
56.20 millimeters
not measuring the
repeaters slide switch, the stem sleeve, crown, Bail or Bow. This beautiful Hunter case is all
handmade, and features excellent work.
The front side features
a bold hand engraved initial shield on a field of intricate Engine
Turned work. There are initials so fancy they could easily be a W, M,
V, F, T, S, Mc, other letters or even fancy scrollwork!. The case also features "coin" edge
trim on the outer case edge & matching trim on the bezel.
The 3/4 nickel plate movement is an extremely high
grade fully
jeweled 19 jewel (very high grade for its day)
lever escapement. It is a higher grade movement fully adjusted to
positions, Isochronisim and vibrations.
It is stem wind &
LEVER
set at the 4:00 position. To change the time, simply slide
the lever upwards toward the 3:00, do
NOT
attempt to pull out!
Caution !!!
This vintage timepiece is Lever
set by sliding up the Lever at the 4:00 position, then turning the
crown to change or set the time. Once the proper time is set, slide the
lever back towards the 4:00.
Never
try to force or pull the crown "out" to change the time.!!!
This could severely
damage the watch!!!

This watch has lasted in
OUTSTANDING condition for nearly 125 years, and winds & sets
just fine!!
The all original dial is a double
sunk porcelain dial with black enameled Roman numeral hour markers
and small Arabic 5 minute markers. This super condition dial has an
invisible hairline only seen under high magnification under the
subsidiary register. This Very Rare & Special timepiece also has the Special
& rarely used
fancy "Parasol" style hands
