The metal material appears to be cast bronze, and the original old fabric background is a hand sewn & stitched early American Flag with 13 Stars and 13 Stripes.

On the back of the Masonic Shield is the copyright "National Council 1892"

The overall width is 44mm (1.73") wide at the top by 97.40mm (3.83") in total length

Due to its extreme rarity, its age and potential fragility (especially the original fabric flag), this is indeed a Museum piece, and NOT simply a pocket watch accessory to carry or wear all the time. This item should be placed in a shadow box, in a treasure dome or somewhere under protective glass!!
