splendor. This is the original
1st issue Darth Vader Star Wars watch that was manufactured to coincide
with the release of the original Star Wars episode in 1977. We just
purchased this from an avid Star Wars memorabilia collector. To show you
how the value of these items continue to rise "sharply",
consider this; This same collector had a New Old Stock
2 1/2 inch tall Star Wars action figure
still in its original package
(just like this watch). This
toy still had the original Target full retail $1.99 price tag. He just
sold that $1.99 mint condition Star Wars item on eBay for $400!!! Using
the same exact appreciation formula and logic, this mint condition,
never used still in the factory package Star Wars item should be selling
for well over $3,200!!!
The mint condition full multicolor color dial features the
star "bad guy" from the past 28 years of the Star Wars saga, the evil
Lord Darth Vader. This watch is powered by a
quality Swiss mechanical wind-up movement, cased in
the more RARE Gold plated version high polished case. Nearly all of this
production run was done in "chrome" plated cases. The back is satin sand marked
base metal. This was produced in a "mid-sized", or 3/4 version
so that it would not be too huge for a child to wear, nor too tiny for
the average adult to wear. The exact measurements for your own
information are 29.10mm wide (not counting the
stem & crown) by 35.40mm lug to lug. This
highly collectible timepiece is Built and distributed by Bradley,
Division of Elgin National Watch Company and is Licensed & Copyrighted by 20th Century Fox Film Inc.
Although it is 28 years old, it is 100% all original, with Bradley papers, New Old Stock, has never been worn,
and is in
Mint condition!!
