All American Made
extremely low production, special order timepieces that were nearly
always used for premium, presentation and retirement
purposes. If ever found today, they usually are never working, or
have been deeply engraved & personalized as presentation or
retirement items. This particular one has just been serviced, runs perfectly
AND has never been
engraved or personalized!
Accutron tuning fork timepiece was the Worlds first Jeweled electric tuning
fork movement. This particular watch is their caliber 214 movement.
The case is heavy gauge solid brass
and has the original high polished brass and soft satin antiqued brass
finish two-tone case.
The MINT condition dial
features the original "frosted" or satin finish silvered background
with Gold inlaid bar hour markers and the Tuning Fork, Bulova and
Accutron logos. The hands are also Gold "Pitched Dauphine" style
hands and smooth sweeping second hand.
We have seen these
extremely scarce Accutron brass clocks in "basket case" non-running
condition sell online for as little as $200-$300. However, we have also
seen a few that are 100% original, that are not engraved or
personalized, that have been recently overhauled by a Certified Accutron Technician and
in MINT condition like this one sell up to $1,000. Buy in confidence
from an Accutron specialist and save a ton of money at the same time!!!
